Applied Crew, Inc. (“Applied Crew”, “we”) builds and operates software for businesses, including BackContext. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have, both when you visit this website and when a customer and its authorized users use our services (the “Services”). For the Services, we process information on behalf of our customers and on their instructions. BackContext also publishes its own policy at backcontext.com/privacy; where the two differ for that product, that policy applies.
This website. The site has no forms and no accounts, and asks you for nothing. Like most websites, the server that hosts it keeps standard access logs, which include your IP address and the pages you request. The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers.
When you contact us. If you email us, we keep your name, email address, and what you wrote so that we can reply and, if we start working together, set up the engagement.
Customer and user details. To provision and administer access to the Services, we collect the name, work email, role, and account identifiers of a customer’s authorized users.
Customer data processed through the Services. Information a customer and its users put into the Services or connect to them, as configured by the customer. Depending on the product, this may include notes and journal entries, documents, skills and configuration, credentials the customer chooses to store, and content from tools the customer connects.
Usage, security, and diagnostic data. Audit and usage events such as actions taken in the product and their timestamps, together with system logs and metrics used for security monitoring, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis. This data is kept separately for each customer.

We do not use information processed through the Services for advertising, and we do not use it to train AI models offered to anyone other than the customer it belongs to. We process customer data on the customer’s instructions.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share information only: as directed by the customer it belongs to; with service providers that host and run the Services for us and are bound by contract to protect it; and when required by law or to protect our rights, our customers, or others. Data from one customer is not disclosed to another.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure, including encryption in transit and access controls that separate each customer’s data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Website access logs are kept for the standard period of our hosting provider and used only to keep the site running. Messages you send us are kept for as long as we are in contact with you about our work, and then as needed to meet legal obligations. Customer data processed through the Services is kept according to the customer’s configuration and instructions and is deleted on request, subject to legal or contractual requirements. Security logs and metrics are kept for the life of the customer account. Residual copies may remain for a limited period in backups before being overwritten.
If you are an authorized user of one of our customers, requests to access, correct, or delete your personal information should go through your employer or account administrator, and we will help them fulfil the request.
If you have contacted us directly, write to hello@appliedcrew.com to see, correct, or delete anything you have sent us, and we will do it. Depending on where you live, you may also have legal rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to appeal a decision we make about a request. We will not treat you differently for exercising them. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Our website and Services are for businesses and their staff and are not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If our practices change, this page changes with them, with a new date at the top. Continued use of the Services after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
